Ride your bike with style

What do I wear when I take my bike?

We have the answers!

It is said that there are cities that never sleep. Of course, the inhabitants have to rest from time to time, but the vibe of the city is so powerful and full of life, that you could feel they don’t. In the world we can find also cities with a non-stop bike traffic. They are known as bike-friendly cities, because of supporting this green mode of transportation. The ones in the top of the list are Copenhagen (Denmark) and Amsterdam (Netherlands); followed by Portland (Oregon, United States), Montreal (Canada), Tokyo (Japan) and a list of names that we hope will grow with time.

Either if you are lucky enough to live in one of these cities, either you are a visitor, either you love to go on your bike; take a look to our inspiring compilation of outfits specially thought for lady bikers. When you take your bike everyday (or almost), you probably feel the need to use your imagination in order to create different outfits. It is indeed a delicate mission, due to factors such the weather and the comfort that the clothes have to provide us while we cycle.

Ready to get on board?

1. With your favorite jeans

Don’t you have a pair of jeans in your wardrobe that look good with absolutely everything? Not only that, they are also comfortable and don’t go out of fashion. This basic piece of clothing is a must-have that you can combine with a blouse, a sweater, a tank top, and so on. In cold weather, wear them with boots, coat and cover your neck with a soft scarf. During Spring and Summer, a light blouse will make the outfit. As the Fall is definitely here, our suggestion is to take a cozy jacket and ride.

2. Midi or maxi dress

A pair of pants are the easiest option to wear when we go on a bike, for obvious reasons. However, if the weather allows it and we are in the mood for a dress, why not? Unless we live by the seaside, we have to control that the skirt stays in its place. This is why the midi or long cut is the most convenient choice.

3. Flare pants (yes!)

It’s not a secret that the reign of skinny jeans is over. Now they have to live in harmony with culottes, palazzo pants, flare pants and so on. Nothing is better that diversity.

4. Those Fall cold days

Don’t hesitate to take a good coat, a scarf and a beanie on those really cold days. Not all the cities have the same temperature, so you will have to adapt the shoes and fabrics of your clothes to the temperature.

For more classic, this is, less experimental days, we can choose an outfit with a preppy touch. Nicely cut clothes, polished result, but still, a rocker touch with slightly ripped jeans.

They say bicycles are for the Summer, but with the appropriate attire they can be almost for all the year. Take care of your neck with a cozy scarf and only choose heels if you are a ninja cyclist!
